I can also imagine eyes rolling and murmuring under your breath…I’m just one person, what difference does it make what I do or say?
I realize that we are all not going to grow up to be John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Martin Luther King or Mother Theresa, but we are somebody with influence in our own circle and we certainly do have the ability to make a difference.
When we create a lifestyle to support us in body, mind and spirit. We choose whether our lifestyle and self-care includes everything from yoga or weight training to beer or beets. When we shop: we decide what to buy and where to buy. Everything from the cereal we eat for breakfast, the clothes we wear, the car we drive, down to what we have for dinner.
What we watch: we choose what we read, what we post on social media, the television programs we watch, the movies we attend, and the music we listen to.
Whether you are a parent or not, you influence the younger generation. What you do and say does matter to them. Are you old enough to vote? Remember, to anyone older than you, you are the younger generation.
