As we turn the corner the hill looms before us. I hear and feel the click and adjustments as my bicycle clicks into it’s lowest gear. My breath gets faster and faster, my legs start to feel the burn. My husband behind me is trying to keep up. Finally, I can’t go on and I have to stop. This happened many more times throughout our ride around Angel Island. At one point, I heard behind me, “What? Another hill?” Yes, that was my husband. What a sport. HeHe
Remember the children’s book, The Little Engine that Could? There was so much enthusiasm from that engine that he was successful. He thought big and he persevered. When you keep going and don’t give up, your desires are more likely to come true. When you have an idea and you don’t act on it what do you end up with? Nothing. If you act on something without a plan you end up running around and it takes more time to achieve your goal. “I love it when a plan comes together,” a tag line of Hannibal Smith on The A-Team when they had a successful operation. Well, I love it when a plan comes together.
The Little Engine that Could and I, keep saying “I think I can, I think I can.” With that said, when you follow through with a plan and reach your goal you feel accomplished. When you feel accomplished this increases your confidence. How wonderful is that?
